The Albemarle Regional Health Services (formerly known as PPCC District Health Department) teleconferencing site is part of the
Public Health Training and Information Network, a two-way, fully interactive network linking six North Carolina Health Departments
with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health. Operational since June of 1995, Albemarle Regional
Health Services is connected to the PHTIN via the North Carolina Information Highway, which also gives them access to more than 200
sites across the state.
