Note: Videoconferences are held on the second floor of the Health

From Wilkesboro Via US 421 North
1) From Wilkesboro, take US 421 North to Boone;
2) Stay on US 421 N into and through downtown Boone;
3) Cross Water St. (there's a stoplight), continuing on US 421 N;
4) Watch on the left for the NC Agriculture Center-as a landmark-and pass
the Ag Center;
5) At the next marked road on the left, Poplar Grove Connector, turn left;
6) On Poplar Grove Connector, follow the signs for the Health Department,
which is to the right on the hill-the Health Dept. is a two-story brick
building.
From Lenior via US 321 North
1) From Lenior, take US 321 North (Blowing Rock Rd.) to Boone;
2) Follow US 321 N into Boone to Rivers Street (there's a stoplight) and
turn left onto Rivers St.;
3) Following Rivers St., pass Water Street and continue to Poplar Grove
Connector;
4) Turn right onto Poplar Grove Connector and follow the signs to the
Health Department, which is to the left on the hill-the Health Dept. is
a two-story brick building.
From Banner Elk via NC 105 North; from Avery Co. via US 221 N
1a) From Banner Elk take NC 184 East to NC 105;
2a) At NC 105, turn left and take NC 105 North to its intersection with
US 321/US 221;
1b) From Avery Co., take US 221 North to Blowing Rock;
2b) At Blowing Rock, US 221 N will join with US 321;
3) At US 321/221, turn left onto US 321 North;
4) Follow US 321 N into Boone to Rivers Street-turn left onto Rivers Street;
5) From Rivers St., turn right onto Poplar Grove Connector and follow
the signs to the Health Department, which is to the left on the hill-the
Health Dept. is a two-story brick building.
From Western NC and Tennessee via US 421 South
1) From western NC and Tennessee, follow US 421 South to Boone;
2) Take US 421 S into Boone-and take note of your mileage when you pass
the NC 105 Bypass turnoff;
3) Approximately two miles past the 105 Bypass turnoff, watch for Poplar
Grove Connector on your right;
4) Turn right onto Poplar Grove Connector and follow the signs to the
Health Department, which is to the right on the hill-the Health Dept.
